OVERVIEW
Habites is an an app that encourages people to make good use of their free time by setting positive habits and learning new things without having to deviate from their schedule.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
Lethargy and procrastination are problems everyone struggles with. Whenever we get free time, we turn to social media or OTT platforms. This is later followed by guilt of not being productive when you have the chance. Create an app that helps people utilise their small pockets of free time by learning/doing something productive. The goal of this app is to help people pick up healthy habits or learn new things while not having to deviate from their schedule.

RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS
We compared the existing application to grasp the possibilities to comprehend the process and existing methods and scope. Examined many existing productivity applications and studied existing systems to identify areas of improvement.

USER PERSONA
Based on the profession and work hours (e.g. working out at the gym versus lazing around at home) we classified users into a persona.

IDEATION
We brainstormed a few ideas to solve this problem. We found that above liked ideas are more effective to solve this problem. Research has shown that journaling, self-reflection, and good habits help in increasing productivity and let you work on what matters the most.

SOLUTION
Habites controls the app usage by forming good habits and utilizing their time by learning new stuff. It notify the user to From years, studies have proved that journalling is the one of the best routine to improve productivity. It helps by asking what you have expected your day to be and how you can improve[1].

Asking age, gender and profession from the user to understand their life better and recommend relevant bite sized learning articles, habitual tasks and activities.


Asking interests from the user to understand the horizon of various activities that the user can be recommended

track user’s distraction apps and it’s usage throughout the day to help them self reflect and also adjust their score accordingly.
if the app usage exceeds expectation then the score is decreased, and vice versa.
In-App Screens

Moved the feedback to the journaling tab to get that data at the end of the day so as to keep a record of how productive the user has been.
Changed the score UI to make it look more interactive.

bite sized learning: utilizing pockets of free time to read short articles relevant to the user’s age, gender, profession and interests.
Future Scope: adding podcasts and informative videos to this section to widen the learning library.

Information available in chunks for easy consumption of information in pockets of free time.

Recommend various habitual tasks to the user based on their preferences.
This helps them relax their mind and get over various frustrations of the day.

At the end of the day, user can visit this tab and take accountability for the day by journalling it which helps in self-reflection.

Once the user’s day has come to an end, they can journal it.

The user can view their daily and weekly score and stats and compare their progress in productivity.
PROTOTYPING
CONCLUSION
This app aims at eliminating the procrastination habits of the users and get productive by utilizing their pockets of free time by inculcating new habits or learn something new. The users will also be able to compare their productivity scores and work on improving it one day at a time. :)
Future Scope
Podcasts and Videos can be added to the Learn tab of the app.
Various podcast streaming platforms, bite-sized learning platforms, and video streaming platforms can be integrated as well.
Elaborate day-to-day schedule can be asked from the user and custom notifications can be shooted to improve their productivity in their leisure time.
